Daughter-in-law of luxury retail tycoon embarks on food tour in Da Lat

Actress Tang Thanh Ha, daughter-in-law of luxury retail tycoon Johnathan Hanh Nguyen, explored cuisine at popular restaurants during her trip to the Central Highlands resort city of Da Lat.

Ha and her family and friends visited Da Lat last week. The hill town is famous for its year-round cool climate and French heritages.

Ha stopped by her favorite restaurant, Chill Chill Eatery, on Ngo Thi Sy Street.
She loves the restaurant’s outdoor space, which preserves the romantic ambiance of dining tables set in the middle of a garden. She is also fond of its delicious and healthy dishes.

The restaurant offers a fine-dining European-style menu, frequently serving set meals that include appetizers, main courses, and desserts.
Guests can choose from shrimp, beef, pork, or fish for the main course. Some of the restaurant’s standout dishes include striploin steak with mushroom cream sauce, beef spaghetti, scallop salad, rare beef salad, grilled beef, taco rolls with meat, kimchi, and a variety of vegetables, as well as baked cobia with cheese, mushrooms, and vegetables.
Another highlight is the goose liver aged in wine.

Ha also visited Doi Dua restaurant on Phu Dong Thien Vuong Street.
The restaurant impresses with its simple architecture, tiled roof, garden and a 20-year-old cherry blossom tree.

Her group ordered a home-cooked meal with a variety of rustic dishes such as stir-fried bamboo shoots, braised pork, stir-fried vegetables, and stir-fried shrimp with star fruit.
The lunch menu has a set meal for two or four people, and guests can also order additional dishes such as stir-fried squash with shrimp, braised pork belly with green pepper, eggplant salad with beef, and crab soup with Malabar spinach.
In the evening, the restaurant serves beef hotpot with vinegar, with a variety of toppings such as beef brisket, beef belly, tripe, honeycomb, peeled shrimp, and cheese fish cakes.

During the trip, Ha also visited Emai Restaurant on Thi Sach Street, admired for its picturesque and charming setting. This destination features a complex of cafés, and homestays, making it a favorite among visitors.

Before heading back to HCMC, the group stopped by Quyen coffee shop on Co Giang Street. The shop features a modest wooden coffee cart parked in a charming alley, surrounded by a large open space, nostalgic yellow houses, and a trellis of climbing plants.

While camping by Tuyen Lam Lake, the group set up tents by the lakeside and had an outdoor party with familiar dishes such as grilled chicken, grilled meat, pork belly rolled with bell peppers in BBQ sauce, and French fries.

In the evening, her group baked sweet potatoes with cheese and grilled rice paper with quail eggs and scallion oil.
Ha, 39, started her career in the entertainment industry aged 16. She has cut down her on-screen activities since she got married. She has over 3 million followers on Instagram.
