Da Nang Airport has started to organize traditional costume performances and art shows at its international terminal for the benefit of foreign tourists.

There are 30-minute art performances on Thursday and Saturday nights with chau van, a traditional folk art of northern Vietnam which combines trance singing and dancing, Hue royal court music, Cham dances, and ao dai (traditional Vietnamese long dress) shows.

The city Department of Tourism said the shows are meant to promote the country's tourism and showcase Vietnam's traditional art forms to foreigners.

Many airports in the world offer entertainment options these days to improve the travel experience.

Incheon International Airport in South Korea has traditional music concerts, costume parades, a cultural museum, and a casino.

Changi Airport in Singapore has a children's playground, a movie theater and entertainment complexes.

Da Nang, famous for its long, sandy beaches, received 483,000 foreign tourists last year, up 4.6 times from 2021.
