A wildlife safari in China's Henan Province has posted a recruitment video for a driver to feed animals, including tigers, for a monthly salary of 50,000 yuan (US$7,020).

The duties include operating specialized vehicles and opening gates to distribute food to the animals, Global Times reported.

The driver may also be required to feed 100-200 ducks and perform a few other tasks.

Applicants are required to have at least five years of driving experience and demonstrate courage, Guangming Online reported.

After the video went viral on social media the zoo had received more than 2,000 applications as of last Thursday, the newspaper said.

Park staff said: "We will now contact interested candidates and ask them to submit their resumes to a designated email address."

The zoo said only one driver would be hired.
