VnExpress to launch HCMC midnight run in early 2023

VnExpress Marathon Ho Chi Minh City Midnight will be held on the nights of Feb. 11 and 12, 2023, with an expected 10,000 participants.

The tournament is planned to start at midnight on Feb. 12, 2023. The course will pass significant landmarks across Ho Chi Minh City.

Similar to marathons held in Quy Nhon, Hanoi and Hue, VnExpress Marathon Ho Chi Minh City Midnight will offer participants great care and facilities, during and after the race. Prizes will be awarded for overall performance and per age-group to encourage a sporting spirit among the community.

Organizers will announce the opening of registration soon.

"We hope the large-scale night run will boost the attractiveness of HCMC among international and domestic tourists," Head of Sports Management under the HCMC Department of Culture and Sports Nguyen Nam Nhan told VnExpress at a press meeting on March 9.

HCMC is a Vietnamese sports hub with a thriving marathon movement and vibrant economy.

VnExpress Marathon Ho Chi Minh City Midnight is organized by VnExpress, along with Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee and Department of Culture and Sports.
