Host nation Vietnam announced the final list of 11 disciplines for the 11th ASEAN Para Games, dropping three previously reported events.

Both Vietnam and ASEAN Para Sports Federation have decided to include athletics (track and field), swimming, powerlifting, archery, wheelchair tennis, badminton, boccia, football 5-a-side, table tennis, chess and judo.

The event is scheduled to take place in Hanoi from Dec. 17 to 23, 15 days after the 31st SEA Games wraps up on Dec. 2.

It will be hosted at different stadiums and venues across the capital depending on each discipline.

Vietnam will welcome foreign delegations on Dec. 14.

It will be the second time Vietnam hosts SEA Games and Para Games after first doing so in 2003.

Due to the Covid-19 outbreak, 2020 ASEAN Para Games in the Philippines was scrapped.

Vietnam bagged a total 161 medals, including 40 golds, to finish fourth at 2017 ASEAN Para Games in Malaysia.
