The team with 18 swimmers guided by coach Le Minh Ngoc accumulated a total of 26 gold, 11 silver and five bronze medals in the tournament that ended Monday. This is the most successful tournament for the Vietnam finswimming team after SEA Games 31 in May when they topped the event with 10 gold medals.
Finishing behind Vietnam are Indonesia and host Thailand.
The Finswimming World Cup Round Swimming Pool took place from Sept. 2 to 5, and is part of the CMAS (World Underwater Federation) system, with previous rounds held in Hungary, Italy, Germany and the U.S. The final round is set to take place from Oct. 28 to 30 in Poland.
