Ly Hoang Nam has climbed 11 places and remains the only Vietnamese in the ATP men’s tennis rankings.

Nam has moved from 422 to 411 in the Association of Tennis Professionals’ (ATP) Rankings, the men’s tennis governing body announced Monday.

Nam’s rise in ranking came after he won three extra points for getting into the second round of the men’s singles ATP Challenger Chennai Open tournament in India that ended recently, Thanh Nien reported.

Nam is the top tennis player in Vietnam with 28 accumulative points, making him the only Vietnamese athlete to be featured in the ATP rankings.

Nam plans to return to Spain to train for upcoming tournaments this year under Spanish coach Nahum Garcia Sanchez.
