To book their places in the finals, CTBC Flying Oyster (CFO) went undefeated in 20 matches and came from behind to beat Vietnam’s Team Secret Whales 2-1 in the deciding match. PSG Talon, one of Taiwan’s oldest esports organizations, dropped into the Breakout bracket but overcame multiple opponents to secure a playoff against GAM Esports. Despite being considered underdogs, PSG played with precision and won 2-0.

The qualification of CFO and PSG Talon ensures fans in Da Nang will witness some of the biggest stars of the Asian League of Legends scene next weekend.
PSG’s current roster includes veteran mid-laner Maple (Huang Yi-Tang), who has competed for 12 years with top teams such as Flash Wolves (Taiwan), Suning (mainland China), LNG (mainland China), and Team SoloMid (North America). Known for his sharp mechanics and preference for short-range assassins like Fizz and Akali, Maple briefly retired in 2024 before returning to PSG Talon.
He is joined by long-time teammates Karsa, Betty, Woody, and Azhi. Karsa, from the same generation as Maple, has played for major Chinese organizations including RNG, Top Esports, and Weibo. With their shared experience and chemistry, PSG Talon often struggles in qualifiers but consistently delivers under pressure, proving difficult to eliminate in decisive matches.
On the other hand, CFO is regarded as the strongest League of Legends team in the Asia-Pacific region. Since the creation of the LCP, which merged Vietnam’s VCS, Taiwan’s PCS, and Japan’s LJL, the team has dominated with a 20-match winning streak, capturing both the LCP 2025 Season Kickoff and Mid-Season titles.
CFO also impressed internationally earlier this year at the First Stand event, defeating heavyweights like Top Esports (China), Karmine Corp (Europe), and Team Liquid (North America).

CFO’s roster features some of Taiwan’s top talent, led by veteran jungler JunJia and prodigious mid-laner HongQ. JunJia, with extensive global experience, serves as the tactical core of the squad. Meanwhile, 17-year-old HongQ has emerged as a phenomenon with elite mechanics and a deep champion pool, often turning games in critical moments.
Built on discipline, flawless coordination, and tightly controlled strategies, CFO plays with remarkable consistency, capitalizing on opponents’ mistakes with ruthless efficiency.
On Sept. 13, PSG Talon and CFO will clash in an all-Taiwan showdown to decide the first finalist of LCP 2025. The loser will drop to face a Vietnamese team from the lower bracket, which includes GAM, Team Secret Whales, or MVKE.
