Olympic champion Carlos Yulo switches into girlfriend's high-knee boots to save her from pain in long queue

Carlos Yulo may dazzle the world with his gymnastic grace, but he also reminded everyone that real charm lies in the little thing, like swapping shoes with your girlfriend while waiting in a long queue.

The two-time Olympic champion is not only known for being the first Filipino to win a medal at the World Artistic Gymnastics Championships, but also for showing heart both on and off the mat.

In a viral TikTok video, Yulo’s girlfriend, Chloe San Jose, a content creator, shared a sweet behind-the-scenes moment during their recent vacation in Japan. The pair were stuck in a long line when Yulo noticed his girlfriend was struggling, Onesports PH reported.

"My bf willingly swapped shoes with me and wore high knee boots ‘cos my feet were in pain as we waited in line for 150 mins," San Jose wrote in the caption. "Plus points for the leg massages."

It did not take long for social media to crown Yulo the boyfriend goal of the week.

According to Forbes, Yulo, 24, is celebrated as the most decorated Filipino gymnast in history. He made history by becoming the first Filipino to win two gold medals in a single Olympics, taking victories in the floor exercise and vault at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.

The couple first got acquainted online in 2020, later becoming official despite the distance: Chloe studied in Australia while Carlos trained in Japan. They first met in person at the 2022 Southeast Asian Games in Hanoi.
