On March 2, Styles finished the 42.195 km run in 3 hours, 24 minutes and 7 seconds, placing 6,010th overall. He achieved a pace of 4:50 per km, running each km in 4 minutes and 50 seconds.

Styles used a neutral splits strategy, maintaining a steady pace throughout the race. His first half took 1 hour, 42 minutes and 3 seconds while his second half was completed in 1 hour, 42 minutes and 4 seconds, according to Runner's World.

This pacing strategy was famously used by Kenyan marathon legend Eliud Kipchoge during his INEOS 1:59 event in Vienna, Austria in 2020, where he maintained a steady pace of 2:48 to 2:52 per km over the entire marathon.

Given his energetic persona, Styles' fitness may not come as a surprise. During his "Love On Tour" concert tour, the 31-year-old performed 173 shows around the world in 22 months. His coach, Thibo David, told Coach in January 2024 that Styles can run a mile in 5 minutes and 13 seconds.

Styles follows an intense training routine, beginning with a 10 to 30-minute jog, followed by a 1-mile sprint, with his personal best being 5 minutes and 13 seconds.

Afterward, he does 100 push-ups, sit-ups and squats in 8 minutes, before moving on to weightlifting, sprinting on an incline treadmill and focusing on core strength and stretching. Health and fitness writer Harry Bullmore attempted this workout routine and it took him over 2 hours to complete.

Born in 1994, Styles is a renowned British singer and actor. He was a member of One Direction, one of the world’s biggest boybands from 2010 to 2016 and briefly dated American pop star Taylor Swift from 2012 to 2013. After One Direction disbanded, Styles launched a successful solo career, earning three Grammy Awards. He’s also known for his gender-bending and eccentric fashion sense.

Other musicians who have completed full marathons include Stuart Murdoch of Belle & Sebastian, who ran the 1986 Glasgow Marathon in 2 hours, 57 minutes and 8 seconds, and members of pop rock band McFly, who finished the 2024 London Marathon in 3 hours, 23 minutes and 40 seconds. Dan Hawkins of The Darkness ran the London Marathon in 3 hours, 21 minutes and 44 seconds, and Bjorn Ulvaeus of ABBA completed the 1980 Stockholm Marathon in 3 hours, 23 minutes and 54 seconds.
