The Hanoi club is valued at €3.65 million ($4.35 million), with key players of the national team in their squad like Que Ngoc Hai and Bui Tien Dung.
Thai champions BG Pathium United are top in value with €8.15 million ($9.725 million), followed by Malaysian champions Johor Darul Ta’zim with €6.65 million and Thai club Port FC with €5.95 million. There are two other Thai clubs on the list, Chiangrai United and Ratchaburi Mitr Phol FC at fourth and fifth.
Below Viettel are United City FC and Kaya FC-Iloilo from the Philippines, and Tampines Rovers from Singapore.
Viettel are in Thailand at the moment to compete in the group stage of ACL from June 26 to July 11. They are in the same group with ACL 2020 champions, South Korean club Ulsan Huyndai, BG Pathum and Kaya FC.
In an interview with AFC before the clash with Ulsan Huyndai, Viettel defender Bui Tien Dung said: "It’s a great challenge for Viettel. I’m impressed with Ulsan Huyndai because they have five national players in their squad. Viettel need to stay focused. This game is like a test and I hope we will get a good result."
