Victoria Beckham shares photos of Brooklyn in subtle message of reconciliation amid family rift

The 50-year-old fashion designer posted a series of family photos on Instagram to celebrate the 78th birthday of her father, Tony Adams, on May 18.

Notably, Brooklyn appeared in two photos with his grandparents, captioned "The best dad in the world" and "We love you both so much."

Victoria also tagged her children and her mother in the posts. The photos were taken during her father's birthday last year.

According to Daily Mail, Victoria’s inclusion of Brooklyn was seen as a symbolic olive branch amid growing rumors of a family rift between her, Brooklyn, and his wife, Nicola Peltz. Earlier in May, Victoria had noticeably excluded Brooklyn in posts celebrating her husband David’s 50th birthday, raising questions due to the eldest son’s absence from the events.

While Victoria’s gestures have been subtle, David has been more consistent in the reconciliation attempt by acknowledging Brooklyn publicly. The former England football captain has continued to tag and mention his eldest son on special occasions such as birthdays and Mother’s Day, and regularly interacts with him on social media. British media reported that David is eager to mend their strained relationship, fearing a repeat of the estrangement he once experienced with his own father, Ted Beckham.

Despite his parents’ efforts to reach out, Brooklyn has remained silent. He did not publicly acknowledge his grandfather's birthday, although he recently posted a tribute to Nicola’s late grandmother.

One member of the Beckham family who has maintained visible support for Brooklyn and Nicola is David’s mother, Sandra. She has continued to engage with Brooklyn’s posts and even left a kind comment on Nicola’s tribute to her grandmother with messages of support.

Rumors of rift within the Beckham family intensified in March when Brooklyn and Nicola missed Victoria’s Paris Fashion Week show and were absent from David’s early birthday celebrations. Tensions reportedly deepened in April when the couple returned to the U.K. for David’s milestone birthday but did not attend any of the family parties or publicly acknowledge the occasion.
