Tickets for Hoang Anh Gia Lai home game under new Thai coach in high demand

Hoang Anh Gia Lai (HAGL)’s first home game of the season under Thai coach Kiatisuk on Friday afternoon is proving a sellout event thanks to eager fans.

The managers of Pleiku Stadium, HAGL's home turf, only commenced ticket sales Friday morning to avoid fraud. By this time, the club had already sold out all seasonal and premium tickets.

In their first V. League 2021 home game, HAGL will clash with Song Lam Nghe An (SLNA), led by their new head coach, Thai football legend Kiatisuk Senamuang, who joined last November.

The most expensive seats are in stand A1, priced at VND80,000 ($3.47) a ticket, while the cheapest are in stand C at only VND20,000. Each fan can only purchase five tickets max. But a pair of stand A tickets could be resold for VND700,000 by touts.

Friday game will be Hoang Anh Gia Lai's second this season, after an away game last Sunday, when they lost 0-1 to Saigon FC.

"We are looking forward to see how the team under Kiatisuk’s lead will perform this season. In the last game, we lost to Saigon FC, but the fans still believe HAGL can play better than last year," a fans said.

Last season, HAGL won six games, drew one and lost only two at home. SLNA's have habitually struggled in Pleiku, with eight losses, seven draws and only two victories in 15 games.
