According to Fichajes, PSG are trying to secure the future key squad members, with Dembele at the top of the list. The French forward has played a pivotal role in the club's treble-winning season and is viewed as the center of the club's long-term plan.

Although Dembele is under contract until 2028, PSG have opened talks to extend the deal by two more years, through to 2030, offering to raise his base wage from €18 million (US$20.8 million) to approximately €35 million per year.

With performance-related bonuses, Dembele's total annual income could climb to €50 million, placing him among the world's top-paid players. By comparison, football stars like Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Jr. earn around €23 million annually at Real Madrid.

The proposed deal is not just a reward for Dembele's outstanding form, but also a move by PSG to ward off interest from other big European clubs.

In the past season, Dembele impressed with his pace, flair, work rate and creativity, contributing 33 goals and 12 assists across all competitions. The 28-year-old forward has become a crucial piece in Luis Enrique's tactical system, proving to be irreplaceable in the lineup.

Negotiations are reportedly progressing well, with both parties eager to continue.
