Ronaldo is expected to leave Al Nassr this summer but has yet to finalize his next destination. He is reportedly negotiating short-term contracts with several clubs participating in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.
Clubs like Botafogo (Brazil) and Wydad Casablanca (Morocco) have expressed interest in signing the 40-year-old star, while the president of Rayo Vallecano have also voiced a desire to bring Ronaldo back to La Liga.
Speaking to Kooora, Mido said: "The problem is that Ronaldo changes the personality of every coach he works with, unlike Karim Benzema. Benzema is also an excellent player, but he respects the coach and understands his role."
The 42-year-old former Egyptian international played as a striker in the Premier League, La Liga and Serie A, and began his coaching career in 2013 with Al Wehda in the Saudi Pro League.
During Ronaldo’s spell at Al Nassr, he worked with five coaches, including three official managers: Rudi Garcia, Luis Castro, and Stefano Pioli.
Mido has repeatedly criticized Al Nassr’s coaches for lacking authority when Ronaldo had problems with them.
"I challenge you to find a good coach who wants to work with Ronaldo," Mido added. "He came to Al Nassr after being rejected by European clubs. Even if Al Nassr wanted to appoint Simone Inzaghi, he wouldn’t accept if Ronaldo stayed."
In what may have been his last match for Al Nassr on Monday, Ronaldo opened the score but was unable to reach the milestone of 100 goals with the club as they eventually lost 2-3 against Al Fateh.
Arab media reports suggest that Ronaldo is going to join Al Hilal for the Club World Cup. The club recently signed defender Ali Lajami from Al Nassr but has yet to secure the 40-year-old striker’s signature.
Egypt’s Al Ahly is also reportedly interested in signing Ronaldo to compete against Lionel Messi in the Club World Cup. The two clubs will face off in the tournament opener against Inter Miami on June 15.
