To prepare for the upcoming final World Cup qualification round, coach Park Hang-seo has recruited experts Park Chung-kyun and Kim Tae-min.

Park wants to add more experts to the national team, which will begin the final round of World Cup qualifiers, starting September. In the proposal sent to Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), the national coach chose Kim and Park, who are already working in Vietnam.

Park Chung-kyun is the current head coach of Hanoi FC. He will work as the second assistant to Park Hang-seo for three months, then return to his job at Hanoi.

Kim will be the team’s data analysis expert. He has been working in Vietnam since 2019 as an assistant coach for V. League clubs like HCMC FC and Hoang Anh Gia Lai.

Coach Park Hang-seo was approved by VFF to employ South Koreans to assist him and the national team. Besides assistants Lee Young-jin, Park Chung-kyun, Kim Tae-min and Kim Han-yoon, there are physical expert Park Sung-gyun, goalkeeper coach Kim Hyun-tae and Doctor Choi Ju-young.

Vietnam will compete in group B of the final World Cup qualifying round with Japan, Saudi Arabia, Australia, China and Oman. The Golden Dragons will begin the campaign with a match against Saudi Arabia on Sept. 2 and another game with Australia at home five days later. The team will gather for training in early August.
