A New York plastic surgeon has analyzed the possible cosmetic procedures behind Cristiano Ronaldo's timeless appearance at 40 years old.

When Ronaldo joined Manchester United in 2003, he had acne, crooked teeth and a skinny frame. Two decades later, he has become the ideal model for a man, with a chiseled face, a flawless smile and an admirable body. While strict discipline and training played a huge role, experts say cosmetic interventions may have helped.

Dr. Elie Levine, director of Plastic Surgery & Dermatology in New York, pointed out changes in Ronaldo's nose, teeth, forehead, and cheekbones.

Compared to his early days in England, his nose bridge now looks slimmer and straighter, with narrower wings, consistent with a rhinoplasty involving cartilage reshaping and bone adjustment, Levine told Daily Mail.

Ronaldo's most standout and obvious change is his teeth. Once marked by gaps, discoloration, and an uneven smile, Ronaldo underwent braces, porcelain coverings and possibly gum surgery or jaw adjustment to perfect his smile.

"He may have reduced some of the bone in that area and moved that whole upper teeth area up higher, which can also get rid of that kind of gummy smile," Levine said.

At 40, Ronaldo's wrinkle-free forehead suggests Botox injections, which paralyze facial muscles to prevent lines. Each session costs between $180 and $750 and lasts three to four months.

His full cheekbones, despite low body fat, hint at filler or fat grafting, the doctor said.

He also suggested that Ronaldo has gone for an endoscopic brow lift and laser skin rejuvenation to maintain his clean, fresh look.

Ronaldo's thick, unchanged hairline over 20 years is also deemed unusual. Levine said he may have used hair transplants or PRP (platelet-rich plasma) injections.

"It really doesn't look like there's any recession. Even for people who are described as having great hair genetics, generally the temples recede a little bit and you get a bit of a widow's peak," he added, as cited by Daily Mail.

All these procedures could have cost $100,000 to $250,000, according to Levine.

Beyond possible surgeries, Ronaldo's lifestyle is key to his physical health and appearance. Like many elite athletes, he uses up to five 90-minute rests throughout his day to stay refreshed and ensure full recovery. He is also reported to have a cryotherapy chamber at home, which can lower his body temperature to an extreme minus 160 degrees Celsius, according to Men's Health.

Ronaldo follows a "little and often" approach to nutrition, eating small meals regularly throughout the day to keep his energy levels sustained. He reportedly refuels every three to four hours and has abstained from alcohol since 2005.

Currently, Ronaldo dedicates four hours a day to training, five days a week, as part of his intense fitness routine.

His partner, Georgina Rodriguez, helps maintain the routine, working out with him and monitoring the family's diet. Recently, she announced their engagement after nearly a decade together.
