"As a human being, I can't stand him anymore. I couldn't care less if people agree or not," Rami said during a livestream on Twitch on Wednesday, as quoted by beIN SPORTS.
While acknowledging Yamal's exceptional talent, Rami questioned his character.
"In terms of football, I have nothing to say - he's a beast and will win Ballon d’Ors, European Cups, and all that. But as a person... f**k him. That’s clear," said the former defender, who earned 36 caps for France.
Rami’s frustration appears to stem from Yamal’s interaction with Cristiano Ronaldo after Spain lost 3-5 to Portugal in a penalty shootout in the Nations League final on June 8. According to Rami, the way Yamal shook Ronaldo’s hand was inappropriate for a player on the losing team.
"The way he shook Cristiano Ronaldo's hand also annoyed me. That's how it started. I didn't like the videos he made afterwards where he talked about him," he said, without elaborating further, as quoted by Goal.

Rami also criticized Yamal’s fashion choices, particularly his preference for sagging pants. He claimed the style originated in prisons and carried suggestive implications.
"Seeing him doing his nonsense with sagging shorts... that comes from prisons in the U.S. and Mexico," Rami added. "It was the look of someone who wanted to get f**ed. It all annoys me."
However, his explanation was based on a myth. While the sagging trend began in prisons, where inmates were often denied belts to prevent suicide, resulting in loose-fitting pants, the style was later popularized by hip-hop artists as a fashion statement.
Rami also took issue with Yamal’s 18th birthday party, which reportedly featured dwarf performers and sexy dancers.
"He’s throwing parties, and people are already talking about it. Wait a bit, you son of a b***h! He takes the number 10 shirt and walks around with giant diamonds... Thinks he’s American. It’s trash," Rami continued his rant.

Outside his football career, Rami is known for his controversial personal life. In 2019, his ex-girlfriend, actress Pamela Anderson, accused him of domestic abuse following their breakup, according to Le Figaro.
According to Le Parisien, Rami’s comments during the livestream sparked immediate backlash online, with many viewers angered by his vulgar language and aggressive tone.
In response, Rami posted a message on Instagram to clarify his remarks.
"I was not talking about footballer Lamine Yamal, nor his talent (which is huge, nothing to say about that), but some recent attitudes, which in my opinion, suggest a somewhat rocky future if they keep it up like that.
"And of course, it was a metaphor (certain clumsy) and in no way an insult to his mother or family."
