Billionaire heiress Nicola Peltz reportedly ignores brother-in-law's girlfriend amid Beckham family rift

Brooklyn and Nicola were noticeably absent from David Beckham's high-profile 50th birthday celebrations last week. The couple, who were in London just days before, reportedly canceled their appearance due to Kim's expected attendance at the event.

According to The Sun, Brooklyn had initially planned to attend but was said to feel uncomfortable being at the same event as Kim, who is rumored to have briefly dated him in the past, a claim that his younger brother Cruz has denied.

Fans noticed that while Nicola follows Cruz's girlfriend Jackie Apostel on Instagram, she does not follow Kim, who has been dating Romeo publicly since November 2023. Interestingly, Nicola is still following some of Brooklyn's former partners, including Sonia Ammar and Sofia Richie.

U.K. media reported that Nicola used Kim's presence as an excuse to distance Brooklyn from the Beckham family, though sources close to the couple have pushed back on that narrative.

"Nicola never tells Brooklyn what to do. She's a supportive and loyal wife," one U.S. insider told Page Six, adding that Brooklyn is upset his wife is being blamed for the family's estrangement.

Kim, a model and DJ, has reportedly been warmly welcomed by the Beckhams. She is two years older than Romeo and previously dated Rocco Ritchie, the son of pop star Madonna.

Since the start of the year, Brooklyn and Nicola have been mostly absent from Beckham family events and have not appeared publicly with Kim, nor have they acknowledged family milestones such as birthdays or anniversaries on social media.

Another source close to Brooklyn told The Sun that he flew to London specifically to see his family and celebrate his father’s birthday. He asked to meet for coffee or breakfast, but was told the only opportunity would be at one of the large parties where Kim would be present, so he declined. This made Brooklyn feel like his parents were choosing Romeo and Kim over him.

The alleged feud adds to previous reports of a rift between Nicola and her mother-in-law Victoria Beckham, dating back to her lavish wedding to Brooklyn in April 2022.

Brooklyn, 26, is the eldest son of English football icon David Beckham and fashion designer and former Spice Girls member Victoria.

Nicola, 30, is the daughter of billionaire Nelson Peltz. She got engaged to Brooklyn in 2020 and married in 2022.
