Red Dela Cruz, a Filipina former office worker, has gained widespread attention as a ring girl at the high-profile super middleweight title fight between Canelo Alvarez and Terence Crawford over the weekend.

Before the fight at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on Sept. 13, Dela Cruz shared an excited post on Instagram: "Grateful for the opportunity to be the Ring Girl at Allegiant Stadium for Canelo VS Crawford!!!"

The post quickly garnered thousands of likes and comments, many of which praised her as "perfect."

"Still can't believe I got to be here. Canelo vs Crawford energy was insane!!" Dela Cruz wrote on Instagram after the match, which received over 12,000 likes and thousands of comments within a few days.

At 35, Dela Cruz previously worked as an office employee at a data company, putting in eight-hour days before transitioning into the sports entertainment world.

Her rise to fame began in 2015 when she won the UFC Octagon Girl Search in Asia, making her a familiar face in the UFC for nearly a decade.

The UFC Octagon Girl Search is a competition organized by the UFC to discover new talent for the ring girl position, who carry number cards, participate in promotional events and accompany fighters on fight nights. After winning, Dela Cruz became the first Filipina ring girl to sign an official contract with the UFC.

Dela Cruz often reflects on the contrast of her unique dual life.

"When I am working, I stay quiet, no make-up, work hard. I get to live these two very different lives and I know how lucky I am," she told Daily Mail Australia.

Originally from the Philippines, Dela Cruz pursued modeling and being ring girl to fulfill her mother's unfulfilled dream of becoming a beauty queen.

"Now, I am living that dream. I followed this path for myself but also to make her proud," she added. "Now, when young girls ask me for advice, I tell them, 'Dream of the impossible. It might just happen."

In the highly anticipated super middleweight title fight at Allegiant Stadium, Crawford came out on top. The American boxer threw 442 punches, landing 165, while Canelo threw 347 punches, landing 132. Crawford's power punch accuracy was 56%, slightly higher than Canelo's 49%.

After 12 rounds without a knockout, the judges declared Crawford the winner with scores of 116-112, 115-113 and 115-113. At 37 years old, Crawford has claimed all of Canelo's WBA, WBC, IBF, WBO and The Ring belts, becoming the new undisputed super middleweight champion.

Crawford's professional record now stands at 42 wins, including 31 knockouts. He made history as the first male boxer in the four-belt era to hold undisputed titles in three weight classes.
