In kurash, Le Cong Hoang Hai won a gold medal in men's 60 kg and Le Duc Dong men's 66 kg. The hosts also won a bronze medal in women’s 87 kg. They won four kurash gold medals on Tuesday.
On the same day, Vietnam won a historic pencak silat gold medal in the women's team artistics event. It was Vietnam's first pencak silat gold medal at a SEA Games in 14 years. In the women's doubles artistic event, Vietnam also claimed a silver medal, finishing behind Indonesia.
Meanwhile, Malaysia won another gold medal after winning the men's doubles artistic event. Iqbal Abdul Rahman clinched a gold medal for Singapore in the men's singles artistic event. The Philippines also got their first gold medal thanks to Francine Padios in the women's singles artistic event.
In rowing, Pham Thi Ngoc Thanh, Le Thi Hien, Ha Thi Vui and Du Thi Bong Vang won a gold medal in the women's four event. The four-team members that helped Vietnam finish first in the women’s quadruple sculls event earlier are Pham Thi Hue, Dinh Thi Hai, Ho Thi Ly and Pham Thi Thao.
Vietnam added another bronze after finishing third in the lightweight men's double sculls, behind Indonesia and Philippines.

Vietnam also have their opening games in women's football and men’s futsal Wednesday.
The men’s futsal team had their first game today with a 1-1 draw against Indonesia despite scoring first.
