Heavy rains and thunderstorms have swept across the United Arab Emirates since Thursday morning, triggering flooding in many parts of the country, Gulf News reported.
Dubai's flagship carrier Emirates canceled at least nine flights to several destinations including Istanbul, Nairobi, Cairo, Amman, Singapore and Johannesburg, it said in a statement.
Other airlines also rescheduled dozens of flights and warned passengers over potential delays, The Straits Times reported.
The world's busiest air hub for international passengers, which was also voted as world's most luxurious by British travel insurance provider AllClear, was also submerged last month as torrential rains caused widespread flooding around the desert country.
