I and my husband save 70% of our income with minimalism

I and my husband live a minimalist life and spend just about 30% of our salary every month.

We practice a frugal lifestyle as follows:

Everytime we receive our salary, my husband and I set aside a part to pay off debt, a part to save, and the remaining small amount for expenses. When we don't have to pay debt, we put 70% into saving.

We mostly only eat home-cooked food and limit eating out, mainly due to food hygiene and safety issues. We only eat out a few times a month at most.

I limit the use of chemicals, so I hardly wear makeup. I also don't use floor cleaner or toilet cleaner, just dishwashing liquid and baking soda for all cleaning. I also don't use spray bottles for ants, cockroaches, insects...

I rarely buy clothes and shoes. Usually only when there is a 60-70% discount program do I buy a few sets. I only spend money on clothes 2-3 times a year. I also only have one pair of shoes for each function.

Every day, I go to work by bicycle. Occasionally, I ride the motorbike I bought 20 years ago. We also have an old car, which we only use when we need to go to our hometown or somewhere outside the city.

We currently live in an apartment at a corner of the building, so it's sunny and windy all day, we don't need to turn on the lights, and we rarely need to use the air conditioner. We save water by using vegetable washing water to water plants, and not using bathtubs.

My husband and I also rarely use supplements, because we believe that eating a variety of healthy foods is much better than spending money on synthetic pills. Besides, we also focus on exercising every day, so currently neither of us have many illnesses.

When I go shopping, I often bring cloth bags and containers to limit single-use plastic items. Every year, we travel abroad at least once and domestically a few times as an experience.

What do you think about my family's lifestyle and would you do the same?
