The U.S. Customs and Border Protection agency said it arrested a wanted Vietnamese sex offender last week.

Hoa Minh Le, 38, was arrested at the Sierra Blanca checkpoint in Texas when police officers conducted an immigration check of a passenger bus, KFOX14 news channel reported on Wednesday.

When they discovered he was wanted for indecency with a minor in Dallas, they took him to the Hudspeth County sheriff’s office for extradition.

In 2016 Vietnamese actor and comedian Hong Quang Minh, who goes by the stage name Minh Beo, was sentenced to 18 months in prison in California for sexually assaulting a 16-year-old boy.

Nearly 1.3 million Vietnamese have moved to the U.S. since the end of the Vietnam War and obtained green cards. But many are yet to become permanent citizens due to a lack of education, language skills or legal help to complete the procedures.
