Vietnam reports 175,468 new domestic Covid-19 cases

The Health Ministry confirmed 175,468 local Covid-19 cases on Tuesday in all 63 cities and provinces, and Hanoi continued to lead the tally.

The capital city reported 26,708 cases, followed by the central Nghe An Province with 10,752 and the northern Phu Tho Province with 9,062.

The ministry also announced 68 more Covid-19 deaths on Tuesday, including 10 in Hanoi, raising the national death toll to 441,477, or 0.7 percent of the total infections.

Of more than three million active patients in the country now, 4,269 are severe cases.

Around 77.6 million people of the 96-million population have been vaccinated with two doses, including children aged from 12 to 17, and more than 43 million adults from 18 have received the third dose.
