Vietnam records 92,344 new Covid cases

Vietnam on Thursday recorded 92,344 new Covid-19 cases, including more than 11,000 cases detected by the northern province of Hung Yen from previous days.

The infection tally in the fourth wave so far is 9,484,965 cases.

The three localities with the highest numbers of new cases of the day are Hung Yen with 13,301 cases, Hanoi with 8,054 cases and Yen Bai with 3,156 cases.

39 deaths were added to the national database on Thursday, totaling to 42,493 deaths so far, or around 0.4 percent of all infections.

Vietnam has given over 206 million Covid-19 vaccine shots so far, with 79.6 percent of the population having been fully vaccinated and 51.2 percent having received their third Covid-19 vaccine shots.
