Vietnam records 60 more Covid-19 cases

The Ministry of Health confirmed 60 new Covid-19 patients Friday evening, including 59 local cases.

Among the new community transmissions three were detected at two Hanoi hospitals – two at the K Hospital and one at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases 2. The capital city recorded 12 cases outside the hospitals.

Bac Ninh (33), Bac Giang (6), Da Nang (3), Thai Binh (1) and Dien Bien (1) accounted for the other 44 community transmissions. All the cases were detected within quarantine zones.

The imported case was quarantined after arriving on April 24 at the Cam Ranh Airport in Khanh Hoa Province from Japan.

Since the new outbreak on April 27, the country has recorded 788 local Covid-19 cases in 26 localities.

The nation’s tally is now 3,816, with 2,657 recoveries and 35 deaths.

Over 959,000 have been vaccinated against Covid-19 so far.
