Vietnam records 36 Covid-19 deaths in four days

Health authorities confirmed 36 Covid-19 deaths that occurred July 17-20, taking the national pandemic death toll to 370.

The deaths were recorded in three southern localities – HCMC (32), Long An (2) and Dong Thap (2).

Most of fatalities were of people had serious underlying conditions, authorities said.

As many as 335 deaths have been recorded in the fourth Covid-19 wave that began April 27.

As of Tuesday, 444 of more than 33,800 Covid-19 patients being treated in HCMC were on ventilators or ECMO (extracorporeal membrane oxygenation) machines.
