Vietnam on Thursday recorded 30,574 new Covid-19 cases, including 18,545 cases added to the national database by Dak Nong.

The total infection tally in the fourth wave so far is 10,390,347 cases.

The three localities with the highest numbers of cases are Dak Nong in the Central Highlands with 18,822 cases, Hanoi with 986 cases, and the northern Yen Bai with 487 cases.

Nine deaths were also added to the national database on Thursday, totaling to 42,991 deaths so far, or 0.4 percent of all infections.

Vietnam has given over 210.5 million Covid-19 vaccine shots so far, with 80.2 percent of the population having been fully vaccinated, and 54.2 percent of the population having received their third shots.
