In Vietnam, 89% of respondents were satisfied with the general cost of living, while 87% said their disposable household income was about enough or more than enough to live comfortably, versus global averages of 40% and 69%, respectively.
The annual survey, conducted since 2014, gathered insights from more than 10,000 expats of 172 nationalities worldwide.
Participants rated their financial situation, overall cost of living, and whether their income covers a comfortable lifestyle in their host country.
Asian destinations dominated the top tier, with five of the top 10 in Southeast Asia.
Thailand ranked fifth, Indonesia sixth, the Philippines seventh.
Malaysia secured the 9th position.
