In a report submitted to the National Assembly’s Standing Committee, the government emphasized the need for a more integrated regional approach to tourism development. This includes the creation of joint tourism products and packages that span multiple localities.
The government also highlighted the importance of aligning tourism growth with green development and heritage conservation. To this end, authorities plan to collaborate with localities to establish safe, friendly, and civilized destinations. Expanding international flight routes is also considered a step in making these goals a reality.
Vietnam welcomed 12.5 million international visitors in 2023, surpassing the initial target of 8 million.
