87 cases were recorded in Bac Giang, eight in Hanoi, two in Da Nang and one each in Thai Binh, HCMC and Dien Bien.
One case in Bac Giang made contact with a coronavirus patient, while the rest are associated with outbreaks at the province's Quang Chau, Van Trung and Dinh Tram industrial parks.

All the cases in Da Nang, Thai Binh and Dien Bien are associated with existing coornavirus cases.
The case in HCMC is a 37-year-old daughter of a restaurateur, who was confirmed a Covid patient last week. Her two other children and a grandchild have also been tagged Covid patients, although the source of transmission of these cases have not been determined.
Vietnam's latest Covid wave has caused 2,506 cases in 30 cities and provinces since starting a month ago. The most severely hit are Bac Giang with 1,156 cases and its neighbor Bac Ninh with 507 cases.
Both provinces have several large-scale industrial parks which employ thousands of workers, some of which having become coronavirus hotspots.
