Two killed in Vung Tau when car crashes into motorbike

A man and his 13-year-old daughter were killed in the southern province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau on Saturday after a car driving in the opposite direction rammed into their motorbike.

At 3:20 p.m. Nguyen Van Ngo, 45, was carrying her daughter from Hoa Long Commune in Ba Ria Town to Long Dien Town when a four-seat car traveling in the opposite direction suddenly crashed into his motorbike, leaving Ngo and his daughter dead on the side of the road.

The car driver was identified 33-year-old Nguyen Van Tuan.

According to witnesses, the car driver encroached on the opposite lane and hit Ngo's motorbike. Ngo was carrying his daughter home from school.

Investigators at the scene said the motorbike had been totally destroyed in the wreck.

The accident scene was not far from the victims’ home.
