Traffic police forces on Wednesday said the unnamed boy, who lives in District 4, was fined VND5.5 million for driving haphazardly on the road. As he also committed other traffic violations, for example lacking insurance and holding an expired vehicle registration.
In late April, the boy drove a BMW car and let it drift at the Nguyen Cong Tru-Ho Tung Mau intersection, with his act recorded on a video and uploaded on social media.

Besides the teenage driver, his mother, who was in the vehicle at the time, was fined VND10 million for numerous traffic violations as well, including allowing an underage person to drive.
