Singapore airline Scoot launches flights to Da Nang

Passengers were welcomed with a special ceremony organized by the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism at the Da Nang International Airport.

The event featured a water cannon salute, traditional art performances, flower and souvenir presentations, and photo sessions. Travelers expressed their delight and appreciation for the city's warm, friendly and hospitable reception.

According to Tan Van Vuong, Vice Director of the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Singapore has become a steadily growing source of visitors for Da Nang thanks to its close proximity, convenient air connections and cultural similarities within ASEAN.

The expansion of direct routes between Singapore and Da Nang, now served by Singapore Airlines, Vietjet Air and Scoot Airlines, has increased flight frequency to 24 flights per week, contributing to stronger tourist exchanges and wider cooperation opportunities in tourism development between the two destinations, he stated.

Scoot Airlines' new direct route between Singapore and Da Nang operates three flights weekly on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays, using Airbus A320 aircraft with a capacity of 180–186 seats. The airline plans to raise the frequency to seven flights per week starting January 2026.

Scoot Airlines, a member of the Singapore Airlines Group, operates medium- and long-haul flights from Singapore to over 70 destinations across 16 countries in Asia, Australia, the Middle East and Europe, including major cities such as Tokyo, Seoul, Bangkok, Sydney, Athens and Berlin.

In Vietnam, the airline currently operates direct routes from Singapore to Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Phu Quoc and Da Nang.
