Russian tourists among 41 injured in Phuket bus crash

The accident occurred around 5:10 p.m. on Saturday on the Kamala-Patong road when the Anex Tour-operated bus reportedly experienced brake failure, causing it to overturn, Thaiger reported.

Emergency services promptly transferred the injured tourists, along with the driver and the tour guide, to Patong Hospital for immediate medical attention.

Phuket authorities said the accident triggered significant traffic congestion in the surrounding area, impacting local commuters and tourists alike, the Phuket News reported.

As part of the ongoing investigation, police have conducted an alcohol test on the bus driver, said Chalermpong Saengdee, a Phuket parliament representative.
