The truck was driving on National Highway 20 in Tan Phu District of the southern province at 7 a.m. when its sway bar at the back broke, causing the rear wheels to be thrown off before the cargo bed slammed loudly onto the road surface.
A motorcyclist had to ride onto the sidewalk to avoid the wheels.
"People along the road were screaming to alert travelers, helping the motorbike driver avoid the wheels just in time," Hung, a witness, said.
The incident caused no casualties but many hours of traffic jams.
