Vietnam Airlines has rerouted several Europe-bound flights after Pakistan abruptly closed its airspace, calling the move essential to ensure the safety of passengers and crew.

The Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority announced the temporary closure would begin at 2:55 a.m. on May 7 (Vietnam time). In response, Vietnam Airlines rerouted several flights on that day, including services connecting Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City with major European destinations such as Frankfurt, Paris and London.

The airline said further route changes may be made depending on how the regional situation develops. It is closely monitoring updates from relevant authorities and will promptly notify affected passengers of any new adjustments.

While the revised routes may lead to longer flight times and higher operational costs, the carrier emphasized that safety remains its top priority under all circumstances.

Passengers are encouraged to check the latest updates via Vietnam Airlines' official website at vietnamairlines.com, its Facebook fanpage, or by calling the Customer Care Hotline at 1900 1100. Customers in the U.K., France, Germany and Russia can also contact local ticket offices for assistance.
