A woman riding a motorbike was assaulted after colliding with a child skating in the middle of the road in Binh Phuoc Province last Sunday.

The incident took place as a group of children was playing and skating in the middle of the street, moving across lanes. Suddenly, one child swerved into the path of an oncoming motorbike carrying two passengers.

Unable to avoid the child, the motorbike crashed, causing the child and both people on the vehicle to fall to the ground. No serious injuries were reported.

However, immediately following the accident, a man rushed onto the scene and violently attacked the female motorbike rider, throwing punches and kicks.

Despite her attempts to explain that the child had suddenly darted into her lane, the man continued to assault her. She repeatedly defended herself, stating, "The child suddenly darted out."

The entire incident was captured on a neighborhood security camera.

A man assaults a woman after her motorbike collides with a kid skating on a road in Binh Phuoc Province, Sept. 29, 2024.

This incident has sparked concerns about road safety, particularly in crowded residential areas with children.

Many viewers of the video commented that streets are not playgrounds and stressed the importance of families supervising their children and encouraging them to play in safer areas.

Rather than resorting to violence, adults should focus on helping victims in accidents like these, they said.

Most commenters suggested that the man should face legal consequences, including fines or criminal charges, for assaulting the motorcyclist.
