Foreign tourist sparks outrage for letting child drive motorbike on Phu Quoc Island

The 9-second video, widely shared online since Monday, captures the man laughing as he rides hands-free behind the child, who is steering the bike along Tran Hung Dao Street.

The foreigner was shirtless and he was not wearing a helmet, according to the video.

According to reports by Tuoi Tre and Thanh Nien newspapers, local authorities in Duong To Commune said the incident occurred on Tran Hung Dao Street and stated they are actively investigating the matter.

The identity of the tourist involved remains unknown.

The footage has ignited public outrage, with internet users criticizing the man's disregard for safety regulations and concern for the child's wellbeing.
