Electric taxi collides with another taxi, 3 motorcycles in Binh Duong

An electric ride-hailing service taxi crashed into another taxi and three motorcycles in Binh Duong Province in southern Vietnam Saturday night, injuring two people.

The accident happened around 9 p.m. on Saturday on DT 743 road near the An Phu junction, as the electric taxi was traveling from Di An City to Tan Uyen City.

The impact resulted in considerable damage to the vehicles involved. The electric taxi ended up next to the sidewalk with severe damage, while the other taxi was left in the middle of the road, showing deployed airbags.

The motorcycles sustained damage as well, with debris scattered across the area. Two of the motorcycles were pushed onto the sidewalk, and another was found by the roadside.

"I was inside a store when I heard a loud noise on the street," said Hung, a witness. "I ran outside and saw the taxi on the sidewalk, having knocked down a tree and several parked motorcycles."

Two individuals were injured in the accident and were quickly transported to a nearby emergency facility by locals.

Traffic police from Thuan An City responded to the scene to manage the flow of traffic and to investigate the cause of the accident.
