Dozens injured as motorbikes slip on road oil spills

Oil spills on a road in southern Binh Duong Province caused several motorbike riders to fall and injure themselves.

The oil spills appeared in front of the gates of the Song Than industrial park, Di An City on Wednesday, causing several people to slip and fall on the road.

Dozens of people on a section of the DT 743 road also fell as the oil spills spread.

"I ran past the area and saw a lot of people. I could not brake in time, so my motorbike slipped for a long distance. Luckily I only got minor scrapes on my arms," a local student said.

Oil spills were also spotted on a section of the My Phuoc-Tan Van road, causing motorbikes to slip and fall.

Authorities have used sand to cover up the affected areas, as well as erecting warning signs around the area.

The police are analyzing surveillance camera footage to figure out the cause of the spills.
