A driver was arrested for initiating a car chase after a traffic dispute, which ended with him forcing another to kneel and apologize.

The incident occurred on Sunday afternoon in Thu Dau Mot City in the southern province of Binh Duong.

Phan Tuan Sang, 26, was driving with another adult and a child when his car nearly collided with another car driven by Tran Tan Phong, 46, turning onto a different street. Following a brief exchange of words, Sang continued driving.

A short time later, Sang's car was pursued by Phong's and a motorbike for over two kilometers. The chase ended when Sang's vehicle was intercepted in Hiep An Ward.

Phong demanded that Sang exit his vehicle, and when Sang refused, Phong smashed his windshield and issued threats.

Once Sang exited his car, he was physically and verbally assaulted by Phong and the motorbike driver, who forced him to kneel and apologize before allowing him to leave. The entire incident, which lasted about 10 minutes, was captured on surveillance cameras.

Following the confrontation, Sang and his family took a cab home.

Police arrested Phong on Sunday night for disrupting public order, destroying property and insulting another person. Phong said he believed that Sang tried to block him on the road, so he chased after him and forced him to stop.

Phong admitted to using a buffalo bone he found on the sidewalk to smash the windshield of Sang's car. He also admitted to pulling Sang's hair and verbally assaulting him, forcing him to kneel down and apologize.
