Police have revoked the license of a bodyguard company in central Thanh Hoa Province for disrupting traffic to make way for a wedding entourage.

Thanh Hoa police revoked the license of the Security 24 company on Sunday for "abusing the facility’s operation to violate security and order".

Previously, the police arrested five people: Le Kien Quyet, Hoang Kim Chung, Nguyen Dinh Duong, Lam Van Thuy and Le Ha Dong, all employees of Security 24, for disrupting public order.

Late last month, the five allegedly directed the flow of traffic on Le Loi Avenue themselves to make way for a wedding entourage. The vehicles did not abide by traffic light signals, disrupting order. The incident was recorded on video, uploaded on social media and met with backlash.

Authorities said Trinh Dinh Khoa, the company's director, and his deputy Le Trong Toan, along with Duong, Quyet, Chung and Dong, do not have licenses to work as bodyguards. Chung in particular had committed stealing in the past, and while his criminal records had been cleared, the fact that he was able to work at Security 24 as a bodyguard did not abide by regulations.

While performing their duties as bodyguards of a wedding, the employees also did not dress appropriately per guidelines by the Ministry of Public Security. The company has also been accused to have been negligent in management, allowing their employees to violate the law, the police said.
