According to the HCMC Traffic Police Department, construction work for the stage and grandstands for the ceremony will occur in phases.
From now until May 12, parts of Pasteur Street, including sections from Le Duan to Alexandre De Rhodes and from Han Thuyen to Le Duan, will be used for construction.
On Le Duan Street, barriers will be removed from April 17 to allow for rehearsals, trials, and the official parade. Post-event dismantling and restoration will occur from May 1 to 12.

During this time, drivers can use alternative routes.
For traveling to Districts 3, Phu Nhuan, or Tan Son Nhat Airport, vehicles can take the Pasteur - Le Duan - Pham Ngoc Thach (or Hai Ba Trung) - Vo Thi Sau route.
For traveling to Binh Thanh District and Thu Duc City, they can take the Pasteur - Han Thuyen - Paris Commune - Le Duan, or Pasteur - Ly Tu Trong - Ton Duc Thang route.
For traveling to Districts 5 or 11, they can take the Pasteur - Le Loi - Tran Hung Dao, or Le Loi - Le Lai - Pham Hong Thai - Cach Mang Thang Tam route.
For other directions, they can take the Pasteur - Nguyen Du - Truong Dinh - Nguyen Thi Minh Khai route.
Given the area's high traffic density, officers will be deployed to manage travel flow and minimize disruption. Drivers are advised to reduce speed, follow signs, and adhere to police instructions.
The 50th anniversary celebration (1975-2025) will feature a parade with 13,000 participants and 21 gun salutes on Le Duan Street, in front of the Independence Palace which witnessed the end of the Vietnam War.
The air force will also conduct a flyover with helicopters, Yak-130, and Su-30MK2 planes.
