The incomplete remains of a 17-year-old girl were discovered after a fall from an apartment building in Ho Chi Minh City's District 7 on Monday morning.

At approximately 9 a.m., residents of the Midtown apartment complex in the Phu My Hung area reported hearing a loud noise. Upon investigation, they found the body lying near the entrance of one of the buildings. There was no blood at the scene.

Witnesses described the body as missing part of the left leg, with multiple cuts observed on the right leg.

Local police said the girl lived with her mother at the building. The mother said she "had signs of depression."

Authorities have cordoned off the area and are currently questioning witnesses, with investigators suspecting that the woman may have died before her body fell from the building.
