Taiwan mother, 75, preserves daughter's dead body with air-con for 6 years

The mother, 75, said the dying wish of her deceased 53-year-old daughter was to be buried seven years after she died, Mothership reported.

She only decided to tell a social worker about the situation after she was unable to continue paying electricity bills, and because her health no longer allowed her to take care of the body.

Neighbors reportedly did not know that the woman was living with her daughter, according to Sinchew Daily News. The woman had lived on the third floor of her apartment for the last 7-8 years.

An official said he had come to the apartment several times last year, but no one answered the door. When he tried to call the woman, she would tell him that everything was fine.

An autopsy would be performed on March 3 to determine the daughter's cause of death.
