Sun Air becomes Gulfstream's int'l sales representative

A signing ceremony for cooperation between Gulfstream and Sun Air for authorized international sales representation took place at Capella Hanoi Hotel on March 23.

Sun Air will support Gulfstream to develop its market in Vietnam and promote, introduce Gulfstream aircraft to potential clients under the terms of the agreement. Sun Air will serve as a link between the world's most prominent jet airlines and the Vietnamese upper crust.

Sun Air will also oversee aircraft sales, aircraft management, and charter management services for private aircraft owners.

Gulfstream is the brand name for the world's super-speed planes. More than 3,000 Gulfstream planes have flown around the world since the first took off in 1958, seeking to serve businesses and plutocrats.

"Asia continues to show interest in Gulfstream aircraft, and we look forward to expanding our presence and efforts in Vietnam.

Sun Air is not only a valued customer but also provides Gulfstream with local expertise and chances to grow our position in this vital market," said Scott Neal, Gulfstream senior vice president of global sales.

Private jets have become more common in industrialized countries, with approximately 22,000 business jets in operation, primarily in North America and Europe. Asia is the world's third-largest potential market for this aviation category, yet it is still a new industry in Vietnam.

"Being the international sales representative for Gulfstream in Vietnam symbolizes a critical milestone for Sun Air in the development roadmap of future luxury general aviation.

Van Don International Airport, according to a Sun Group representative, will become a destination for Gulfstream aircraft.

According to the plan, Gulfstream and Sun Air will continue to collaborate after the signing ceremony to stage the Gulfstream airshow at Van Don International Airport in the third quarter of 2022

The event will showcase a variety of luxury aircraft including the G500, G600, G650ER, and G700.
