Hanoi and Hai Phong are among a handful of places that require people arriving from HCMC by air to quarantine.

People arriving in the capital from HCMC, the country's Covid-19 epicenter, need to stay at centralized quarantine facilities or at one of 20 designated hotels for seven days and be tested, all at their own cost.

People arriving from Da Nang need to be isolated at their residence for seven days, during which they will be tested twice.

Both groups need to continue to monitor their health at home for another week after that.

For now Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi receives only flights from HCMC and Da Nang.

Hai Phong and Thua Thien Hue Province, which get flights only from HCMC, also require arrivals to stay in centralized quarantine for one week and self-monitor their health at home for another week.

The Central Highlands province of Lam Dong, home to Da Lat, which is only receiving flights from Thanh Hoa, requires arrivals to be quarantined in a centralized faclility or at their business office for seven days, and self-monitor their health the following week.

Most of the remaining flight destinations, Dien Bien, Thanh Hoa, Quang Nam, Binh Dinh, Khanh Hoa, Kien Giang, and Nghe An, only require arrivals to self-isolate at home for 14 or seven days.

Da Nang requires them to be tested thrice besides self-isolation for two weeks. It receives flights from HCMC, Hanoi, Can Tho City, and Dak Lak Province.

The Ministry of Transport requires all passengers to be fully immunized at least 14 days before traveling or have recovered from Covid-19 in the previous six months, and everyone must also furnish negative Covid test results.
