Two skeletons found in a forest in the Central Highlands' Gia Lai Province might have belonged to a father and son duo, authorities believe.

Prosecutors said Thursday, following police's investigation, the two human skeletons found in Kbang District on Monday belonged to a man aged 30-50 years and another male aged 10-15.

One of them was on a hammock, and the other on the ground next to it, both in the open. There was a raincoat hanging at the place.

Authorities also found a helmet, a cap and a bag containing medicines, fish hooks, lighters, and food.

The site where the remains were found is deep within the forest on a slope and near a stream. It is far away from human settlements and conceivably in a place where no one passes through.

The authorities said the two might have been a father and son who went there to harvest plants and mushrooms and possibly died three or four months ago.

The remains have been buried in a cemetery in Kbang District.

An investigation is going on to figure out how they died and locate their families.
